Applications are invited for the post of Research Associate-I to work under the research project entitled "Sustainable Enhancement of Kappaphycus for Climate Resilience and Economic Development through Omics-driven Cultivar Improvement and Value Addition" funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT, GoI) at Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU). The post is purely temporary and co-terminates with the project.
Post : Project Scientist I (No. of Positions : 01)
PI of the Project : Dr. Nitin Trivedi, GBU
Minimum Qualifications : Doctoral Degree in Science or Master's Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent
Desirable Qualifications :
• Candidates with prior research experience in seaweed biomass processing, extraction of value-added products and their characterization, handling biomass processing reactor and related assemblies
• Candidates with prior research publications/patent in algal cultivation/processing, algal biorefinery.
• Candidates with hands-on experience in operating biomass processing reactor
• Candidates must have proficiency in scientific writing and lab management.
Age Limit : Up to 35 years on the closing date of the advertisement, with age relaxation as per GoI norms
Fellowship Duration : Initially for 1 year (extended to next year, subject to satisfactory performance) Total project duration : 2 years
Fellowship : 56000 + HRA (as per DBT norms)
