Job Description
Role Summary :
The District Sales Manager will be the key business leader for all Meril Life verticals within the district. He will drive sales performance, engage directly with surgeons and doctors across multiple specialties, and ensure strong execution of business strategies. This role demands both leadership and frontline engagement to achieve growth and strengthen Meril’s presence in the market.
Key Responsibilities :
• Own and drive sales targets across all Meril verticals (Medical Devices,Cardiovascular, Orthopedics, Diagnostics, Endo Surgery, ENT, etc.) in the district.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, hospitals, and Internal Meril team.
• Gain hands-on exposure in Operation Theaters (OT) to support surgeons during procedures and strengthen product confidence.
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business objectives.
• Manage, mentor, and motivate the sales team to deliver consistent performance.
• Ensure effective territory planning, customer coverage, and product penetration.
• Coordinate with marketing, clinical, and service teams to ensure seamless customer experience.
• Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and provide insights to senior management.
• Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and achievement.
Candidate Profile
• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering, or Any Graduation.
• MBA or equivalent business qualification is an advantage.
• 3+ years of proven sales experience in the Med Tech or medical devices or Pharma sector.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the district.
