National Institute of Plant Genome Research, New Delhi is an Autonomous Research Institution under the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council (BRIC) and is funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, to pursue research on various frontier areas of Plant Biology such as, climate resilient agriculture, plant health and immunity, nutrient use efficiency, biofortification and other emerging areas. The objective of the institute is to conduct high-quality research in the frontier areas of plant biology with the aim of having practical application in crop improvement. The institute provides a supportive environment for academic growth, fostering innovative thinking and collaborative research.
Post : Project Associate-I (PA-I) 01 post
Candidates are invited to appear before selection committee in the walk-in-interview for filling up the one position of Project Associate-I (PA-I) at the Institute under the supervision of Dr. Pinky Agarwal, Scientist, BRIC-NIPGR in the “Short-Term Research Fellowship” programme. This position is completely on temporary basis. The initial appointment will be for a period of one year, which can be curtailed or extended based on the performance of the candidate and discretion of the Competent Authority. The details of the position are as under :
Upper age limit : 35 years.
Eligibility : Candidate having Master’s degree (with minimum 60% marks) in Bioinformatics / Biotechnology / Botany / Life Sciences / Plant Molecular Biology or equivalent and fulfilling the norms/guidelines as prescribed in the DST Office Memorandum number SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated July 10, 2020 are eligible to apply. Candidates with prior work experience in the laboratory with plant molecular biology, biochemistry and/or bioinformatics will be preferred.
The Fellowship amount for the above positions is at par with the similar fellowships by DBT/DST. BRIC- NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The position may be terminated any time by giving a month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of BRIC-NIPGR
Eligible candidates may appear for walk-in-interview at BRIC-National Institute of Plant Genome Research (BRIC-NIPGR), Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi-110067 on Monday, November 03, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. along with the duly filled application form in the prescribed format. The duly filled application form must be submitted at the time of registration at BRIC-NIPGR from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on November 03, 2025. The candidates are also required to produce original certificates for verification. The candidate reporting after 11:00 a.m. will not be entertained for walk-in-interview. The candidate must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed. All the candidates are requested to appear for the interview with complete bio-data, original degree certificates, experience certificate, etc. Canvassing in any form or bringing influence, political or otherwise, will lead to disqualification of the candidate(s).
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
