NII looking for Doctoral Degree in Pharma candidates

The National Institute of Immunology is committed to advanced research addressing the basic mechanisms involved in body's defence to identify modalities for manipulation of the immune system to provide protection against diseases and understand mechanisms that can be used to target disease processes for intervention.

Post : Senior Project Associate

Applications are invited for the one position of Senior Project Associate for the following time-bound sponsored projects as per the details given below.

Educational Qualifications : i) Master’s degree in Natural Science (Bioinformatics/Computational Biology/Data Science) or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized university or equivalent. AND
ii) Four year’s experience in R&D in Industrial and Academic Institutions of Science and Technology. Organizations and Scientific activities and services. [OR]
iii) Doctoral Degree in Science/Engineering/Technology/Pharma/MD/MS from a recognized university or equivalent.

Job Description : NGS data analysis and programming in LINUX environment using open-source resources & data compilation team and data analytics development of dashboards and portals.

Desirable :
i) Extensive experience in the analysis of Next-generation sequencing data.
ii) Very good knowledge of NGS analysis tools, bioinformatics softwares & databases.
iii) Work experience in the area of Bioinformatics/IT/Computer applications. Strong computer programming skills (in PERL/Python/ or C++ or object-oriented database management systems like MySQL etc. or scripting languages under LINUX/UNIX environment) and development of AI/ML methods.
The candidates must highlight their research experience with dates and duration in their CV. Applications where experience is not highlighted will be rejected.

Emoluments : Rs 42,000/- consolidated p.m. plus 27% HRA (As per DST OM dated 10.07.2020)

General Terms & Conditions :
1. The candidates selected for the above posts will be on contract for one year or till the duration of the project whichever is shorter, at a time.
2. No hostel/ housing facility will be provided.
3. Applicants may clearly mention the category they belong to i.e. SC/ST/OBC/PH and attach documentary proof of the same.
4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview, if called for.
5. Apart from sending application in the prescribed format given below, candidates should send complete Curriculum Vitae along with the names of three referees. Curriculum Vitae should contain details of the experimental expertise and list of publications.
