The Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University was established by an Act passed by the parliament (No. 58 of 1994). The University came into existence on 10.01.1996 vide GOI, Ministry of HRD, Education Department Notification No. 8-16/GOI/desk/U-1 dated 05.01.1996. The basic philosophy and policies of the University are spelt out and enshrined in the University Act and Statutes. Post : Senior Research Assistant

A walk-in interview is scheduled for 27th October 2025 at 11:00 AM in the office of the Head, Department of Biotechnology, BBAU. Lucknow, for the recruitment of one Senior Research Assistant (SRA). The selected candidate will work on a time-bound research project sponsored by the Council of Science and Technology (CST). Uttar Pradesh.

Project Duration : Three years

Educational Qualification : • Must hold a Bachelor's degree with First Division,
• Must hold M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, or any allied discipline with First Division
Desirable Experience : • Prior experience in screening industrial microbial enzymes.
• Hands-on expertise in relevant laboratory techniques.
Age Limit : • Not exceeding 32 years as of 1st April 2025.
Residential Requirement
• Candidate must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh.

Fellowship / Emoluments
Rs. 25,000/- per month (consolidated) for the first two years.
Rs. 28,000/- per month (consolidated) in the third year

The appointment of the Senior Research Assistant (SRA) will be full-time and purely temporary for an initial period of one year. Renewal for a second year will be subject to satisfactory performance during the first year.
