The International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), established in 1983, is an international, intergovernmental organisation conceived as a Centre of excellence for research, training and technology transfer to industry in the field of biotechnology to promote sustainable global development. The Centre conducts innovative research in life sciences and strengthens the research capability of its over 60 Member States through training, funding programs and advisory services.
Project positions are available to work in a research project in the Parasite Cell Biology Group at International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), New Delhi. The positions are temporary under the reearch project funded by CEFIPRA (New Delhi)
1. Junior Research Fellow: To carry out molecular and enzymatic assays
Educational Qualification of Applicants: Master’s degree in life sciences NET/GATE qualified; desired candidate will have experience in recombinant protein expression, enzymatic assays, and molecular biology techniques.
Emoluments: as per DST guidelines
2. Senior Research Fellow: To carry out molecular and proteomics studies of clinical samples
Educational Qualification of Applicants: Master’s degree in life sciences NET/GATE qualified, with 2 years research experience in microbiology and infectious diseases; desired candidate will have experience in molecular biology techniques, cell-culture, proteomics and related studies.
