Applications are invited for the position of Project Associate-I for extramural projects as per the details given below. 

Post: Project Associate-I

Project Name: Coagulation factor activated factor X promotes the release of extracellular vesicles from human metastatic colorectal cancer (CRC) cells: contribution to CRC Pathogenesis.
Principal Investigator’s name: Dr. Kaushik Das. 
Project Description: 
The project aims to understand how the clotting proteases facilitate the release of extracellular vesicles (EVs) from metastatic CRC cells and their contribution to CRC pathogenesis such as promoting proliferation, metastasis, angiogenesis, immune evasion, therapeutic resistance etc. 

The project is funded by Anusandhan National Research Foundation. Detecting the driving factor(s) of the EVs by proteomics, transcriptomics, lipidomics, or metabolomics approach may aid in developing a novel therapeutic strategy in limiting CRC pathogenesis via targeting the EVs.

Consolidated Remuneration [INR] Per month: i) 31,000/- + 24% HRA to be given who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. (ii) 25,000/- + 24% HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.


Essential Qualification:
i) Post Graduate Degree in Natural Sciences or bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology or medicine from a recognized University or equivalent. 
ii) Age limit 35 years as on last date of application
Desirable: Hands-on experience in cell culture, basics of molecular biology and cell biology.
Nature of  Duty: Designing and conducting experiments, accumulating data, writing of manuscript and help in grant application

1. This position is contractual, and appointments will be initially for one year, which is extendable depending upon the performance and requirements of the project.
