Banaras Hindu University is an internationally reputed temple of learning, situated in the holy city of Varanasi. This creative and innovative university was founded by the great nationalist leader, Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, in 1916, through close cooperation with great personalities like Dr Annie Besant, who viewed it as the University of India. Banaras Hindu University was established by the Parliamentary legislation-B.H.U. Act 1915.
Post : Junior Research Assistant (JRA) position in CST-UP sponsored project
Applications are invited from the Indian nationals who are residents of Uttar Pradesh for one post of Junior Research Assistant (JRA) to work in Council of Science and Technology, Uttar Pradesh (CST-UP) sponsored research project (Project code- P-26/0154) at fixed emoluments/fellowship of Rs. 25,000/- p.m. (for first two years) and Rs.28,000/- (for third year). The research project entitled “Regulation of glucocorticoid receptor mediated stress and immune function by pineal indolamine in golden Hamster M. auratus’’ is sanctioned up to/for 24 months. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
Essential qualifications :
• M.Sc. degree in Zoology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Life Science with first (Ist) class in graduation and post-graduation.
• The upper age limit is 28 years as on 1st April, 2024 (Age relaxation as per GOI rules).
• Applicant must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
Desirable qualifications :
Prior hands-on experience in animal handling and procedures, molecular biology (PCR, electrophoresis, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence), histology, cell culture and analytical techniques, will be preferred.
