ARUMDA/TIFR-DRILS Joint Postdoctoral Fellowship

Position Overview: ARUMDA at TIFR invites applications for a DRILS sponsored postdoctoral research position focused on metabolomics and advanced data analytics to investigate biomarkers and metabolic signatures associated with the double and triple burdens of malnutrition. Candidates who have completed their PhD or are awaiting for their thesis defense are encouraged to apply for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct metabolomics/multi-omics analyses using state-of-the-art analytical platforms/tools
• Apply advanced statistical methods and machine learning approaches to analyze complex metabolomics datasets from pre-clinical and clinical cohorts
• Identify novel biomarkers and metabolic signatures associated with malnutrition phenotypes including undernutrition, obesity, and micronutrient deficiencies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams bridging basic biology, epidemiology, and clinical research
Qualification: PhD In Life-Sciences, Data-Sciences, Statistics, Computaional-biology or related fields
Essential expertise: Strong demonstrated expertise In (a) Programming languages (including Al/ML tools) AND/OR (b) Advanced statistical methods for omics data analysis Desired additional expertise: In addition to the essential expertise, knowledge of metabolomics, mass spectrometry, clinical study design, and biomarker discovery would be desirable.

Number of Positions: 1
Duration: 1 year, extendable up to 3 years based on annual evaluation by committee
Fellowship: Rs. 85,000 per month (consolidated)
Accommodation: May be provided, subject to availability
