NIAB, an autonomous institute under the aegis of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, is aimed to harness novel and emerging biotechnologies and create knowledge in the cutting edge areas for improving animal health and productivity. The Institute’s research focus is on animal genetics and genomics, transgenesis, stem cell & its applications, reproductive biotechnology, infectious diseases, nanotechnology, bioinformatics and Nutrigenomics.
Post : Project Research Scientist-III (Non-Medical)
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up One Project Research Scientist - III (Non-Medical) for the project titled, ‘Generation of novel modular vectored vaccine for important poultry viruses : A public health approach for pandemic preparedness’ funded through National One Health Mission by ICMR under the guidance of Dr. Madhuri Subbiah.
Eligibility Criteria : Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees, with five years’ post qualification experience or PhD + two years post qualification experience.
Salary : Rs. 78,000/- + HRA as per the ICMR guidelines.
Desired Experiences : Must have worked in research projects involving molecular Cloning, mammalian cell culture, rescue of the recombinant viruses and is trained in basic and molecular virology techniques to titrate and characterize the viruses. Candidates with previous experience in research relevant to the advertised title are encouraged to apply.
Upper Age limit : 45 years
Duration of the project : 1 year (the appointment may be renewed based on satisfactory performance)
