NIAB, an autonomous institute under the aegis of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, is aimed to harness novel and emerging biotechnologies and create knowledge in the cutting edge areas for improving animal health and productivity. The Institute’s research focus is on animal genetics and genomics, transgenesis, stem cell & its applications, reproductive biotechnology, infectious diseases, nanotechnology, bioinformatics and Nutrigenomics.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up following positions against the DBT-funded project entitled “Identification of heat stress-specific biomarkers to develop a biosensor for formulating mitigation strategies in high yielding dairy animals” at the National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad. (PI: Dr. Pankaj Suman)

Eligibility : Ph.D. in Animal Sciences / Veterinary sciences / Life sciences

Desirable Experience : Candidate having experience in transcriptional/epigenetic regulation of metabolite or protein regulation, selection of aptamers, generation of monoclonal antibodies will be preferred.

Age : 35 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions)

Fellowship amount : Rs 47,000 + 24 % HRA as per the DST guidelines.
