Applications are invited for the position of -Project Associate - in the Department of Chemistry at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa for a - Sustainable Bio solutions Pvt Ltd., India, sponsored research project titled “Performance Evaluation of SUSBIO ECOTREAT Advanced Prefabricated Sewage treatment plant and IOT system.”
Broad area of Research : Water Analysis and Treatment, Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry.
The project aims to install and evaluate a 5 KLD SUSBIO Ecotreat advanced packaged sewage treatment plant (STP) at the BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa campus. The evaluation will use conventional and IoT- enabled sensor-based methods to monitor water quality. Tertiary treatment processes will be assessed for energy consumption and by-product analysis. The findings will help determine the suitability of the treated water for various uses, in line with the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and regulatory norms.
Duration of the project : One year with evaluation after six months. Candidate selected, and motivated to do PhD degree, will get a chance to apply for PhD degree at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus
Fellowship Amount (Rs.): - 30000/pm + 16% HRA if hostel is not availed
Accommodation : Hostel accommodation will be provided subject to availability and will be governed by the rules and regulations of the Institute prevailing at the time of joining of the candidate.
Qualification : Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science (Chemistry, Environment Science, and allied sciences (Geology, Geochemistry), Microbiology, Biotechnology OR Graduate/Post Graduate in Degree in Professional Course (Chemical Engineering, Environmental Technology, Biotechnology) selected through a process described through any one of the following:-
1. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests- CSIR –UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
2. The Selection process through National level examinations conducted by central Government departments and their agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc
