Advertisement for Project Scientist and Project Associate at IBSD

The Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD) although registered in April, 2001, under the Manipur Societies Registration Act, 1989, the regular activity of the Institute could be started only with the appointment of its first Director on 18th January, 2003 to achieve the following mission, goal and objectives.

Applications are invited from deserved and suitable candidates for the following posts under the project entitled “Exploring Bioresources of Nagaland through the IBSD extension Centre at Kohima, Nagaland” funded by DBT, Govt. of India at IBSD Extension Centre, Kohima, Nagaland.

Project Scientist-I (03 nos.)
Upper age limit : 35
Monthly Remuneration : Rs. 56,000/- + 9% HRA per month
Duration : 05 years or till the completion of the project.
Essential Qualifications : Doctoral Degree in Science or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirables : Research experience in Biological Science with capacity of conducting independent research work as per the mandate and mission of the Institute.

Project Scientist-II (02 nos.)
Upper age limit : 40
Monthly Remuneration : Rs. 67,000/- + 9% HRA per month
Duration : 05 years or till the completion of the project.
Essential Qualifications : (i) Doctoral Degree in Science or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent; and (ii) Three years’ research experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services.
Desirables : Research experience in Biological Science with capacity of conducting independent research work as per the mandate and mission of the Institute.

Project Scientist-III (02 nos.)
Upper age limit : 45
Monthly Remuneration : Rs. 78,000/- + 9% HRA per month
Duration : 05 years or till the completion of the project.
(i) Doctoral Degree in Science or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent; and
(ii) Seven years’ research experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services.
Desirables : Research experience in Biological Science with capacity of conducting independent research work as per the mandate and mission of the Institute.

Project Associate (03 nos.)
Upper age limit : 35
Monthly Remuneration : (i) Rs. 31,000/- +9% HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligible Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship ) or (b) A selection process through National level examination conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. OR (ii) Rs. 25,000/- +9% HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.
Duration : 05 years or till the completion of the project.
Essential Qualifications : Master’s degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirables : Experience with Biological research works.

Lab Assistant (02 nos.)
Upper age limit : 50
Monthly Remuneration : Rs. 20,000/- + 9% HRA per month
Duration : 05 years or till the completion of the project.
Essential Qualifications : B.Sc./ 3 years Diploma in Engineering & Technology.
Desirables : Experience with Laboratory works.

Remuneration, essential qualification and upper age-limit are as per the OM No. SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated 10/07/2020

1. The above positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. Selected candidates shall not claim for regular appointment either in BRIC-IBSD, Imphal and its branches or DBT, New Delhi.
2. All selected project staff will be exclusively posted at the IBSD Extension Centre, Kohima, Nagaland.
3. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview.
4. The upper age limit is relaxable for reserved categories as per GoI norms.
