Advertisement for post of Research Assistant in CSTUP Research Project at University of Lucknow

The idea of starting a University at Lucknow was first mooted by Raja Sir Mohammad Ali Mohammad Khan, Khan Bahadur, K.C.I.E. of Mahmudabad, who contributed an article to the columns of "The Pioneer'' urging the foundation of a University at Lucknow. A little later Sir Harcourt Butler, K.C.S.I., K.C.I.E, was appointed Lieutenant-Governor of the United Provinces, and his well-known interest in all matters under his jurisdiction, specially in educational matters, gave fresh life and vigour to the proposal.

Post : Research Assistant (RA)

Applications on plain paper with bio-data are invited for the post of Research Assistant (RA) under Council of Science and Technology, UP (CSTUP) Project (Project ID-3701). The project work is to be undertaken broadly in the area of Coordination and Materials Chemistry, particularly for their use as electrocatalysts and pre-catalysts in electrochemical splitting of water under the supervision of Prof. Abhinav Kumar, Department of Chemistry, University of Lucknow, Lucknow.

Project Title : Tailor Made Low-Cost Transition Metal Thiolates and Dithiolates : Apt Molecular Electrocatalysts and Pre-catalysts for Sustainable Electrochemical Hydrogen and Oxygen Generation

Minimum Qualifications : B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Chemistry with minimum 60% marks.
The maximum age limit is 28 years as on the date of advertisement, which may be relaxed to reserve category candidates as per norms that is up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, women and physically handicapped applicants, and 3 years in case of OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates.

Desirable : Candidate having knowledge of synthesis of coordination complexes and basic electrochemistry.

Amount of fellowship : 25000/- per month for first two year, 28000/- per month for third year.
The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project, which is for maximum period of three years.
