Applications are invited for the appointment of Junior Research Assistant (JRA) (on contract) in a research project entitled “Innovative Metal Nanoparticle-Immobilized Microfluidic Reactor Device for Drug Development and Biosensing Applications” sanctioned by the Council of Science & Technology, Government of Uttar Pradesh vide sanction letter no. CST/D/Biotech-1282 dated 25.08.2025 (Project ID: 5297)

Post : Junior Research Assistant (JRA) (on contract) under the CSTUP Project

Title of the Project : “Innovative Metal Nanoparticle-Immobilized Microfluidic Reactor Device for Drug Development and Biosensing Applications.”
Number of Positions : One (01)
Project Duration : Three (03) years or date of completion of the project, whichever is earlier Age Limit: 28 years as of 01.04.2025

Essential Qualifications : First-class B.Tech. / B.Pharma. /B. Sc. / M.Sc./ M.Tech. / M.Pharm. / M.V.Sc./ or equivalent in relevant discipline with high academic attainment, with first class in graduate examination and post-graduate examination (if applicable). Candidates with higher qualifications may also apply. Preference will be given to candidates with NET, GATE, or JRF qualifications; upper age limit 28 years.

Residential Requirement : The applicant must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh.

Desirable Skills : Strong background in Bio-MEMS/ Electrical Engineering/ Electronic & Communication Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Bio-engineering/ nanotechnology/ materials- science/ biotechnology/ chemistry/ or related disciplines. Hands-on experience in Electrical Circuits/ Electronic Devices/ nanoparticle synthesis/ microfluidics/ drug delivery/ or biosensing is highly desirable. Good communication and scientific writing skills.

Fellowship : Rs. 25,000 per month (fixed). No HRA will be admissible.

1) The applicant should be an Indian Citizen and a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
2) The selected candidate should visit different research centers/ places in India for data collection/other purposes, as and when required.
3) The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of the information, other documents, and photographs submitted.
4) The Institute reserves the right to accept/reject the application at any time, and/or consider candidates of exceptional credentials without applications. Qualifications and experience may be relaxed at any point in time for exceptional candidates. 5) Mere possession of the prescribed qualification does not ensure that the candidate will be called for an Interview. The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit and the need for the project.
6) Shortlisted candidates will be informed by email about the interview date. So, the candidates must provide a valid e-mail ID in their applications.
7) Shortlisted candidates have to present themselves for the interview on the interview date with an updated CV, and original and attested photocopies of mark sheets/certificates in support of their academic qualifications.

8) Applicants in employment (private, government, or any other organization) are required to submit a “No Objection Certificate” from the employer at the time of the interview.
9) No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
10) The first and foremost responsibility of the candidate is to fulfill the job’s requirements to complete the above-mentioned project in a timely manner.
11) The association between the PI and the candidate can be discontinued at any time by giving one month’s notice in writing, either by the PI of the project to the candidate or by the candidate to the PI of the project.
12) This appointment will be purely contractual. Initially, the appointment will be for the first year. It will be renewed for another year or till the end of the project, whichever is earlier, based on the performance of the candidate and the recommendation of the selection/review committee.
13) Hostel accommodation may be provided as per Institute norms.
