The ICGEB is a unique intergovernmental organisation initially established as a special project of UNIDO. Autonomous since 1994, it runs 46 state-of-the-art laboratories, in Trieste, Italy, New Delhi, India and Cape Town, South Africa and forms an interactive network with over 65 Member States.

Post : Senior Research Fellow, Research Associate, Project Associate

Applications are invited for the position of Senior Research Fellow in the Plant Transcription Regulation Group, ICGEB, New Delhi. The position is temporary, with an initial tenure of one year, which can be extended to the maximal duration of the project, year on basis, subject to annual assessment.

Applications are invited for the position of Senior Research Fellow in the Plant Transcription Regulation Group, ICGEB, New Delhi. The position is temporary, with an initial tenure of one year, which can be extended to the maximal duration of the project, year on basis, subject to annual assessment.
DBT Project : Gene editing and engineering of Mediator subunit Med15 to modulate grain size/weight trait in rice.
Educational qualifications : Master's degree (MSc) in any field of Plant Molecular Biology / Life sciences / Bioinformatics, or M.Tech degree in a related field With 2 years’ experience.
Requirements : Only NET/GATE-qualified individuals or those with M.Tech degrees will be called for interviews. Experience with NGS, RNAseq, ChIP seq analysis, etc., will be useful.
Desirable Experience in molecular cloning, protein purification, protein complex purification, Gateway cloning, genome editing, and Plant tissue culture.

Research Associate (1)
DBT project :  Study of transcriptome and metabolome of Allium tuberosum to understand the metabolic pathways associated with its anticandidal activity.
Applications are invited for the position of Research Associate in the Plant Transcription Regulation Group, ICGEB, New Delhi. The position is temporary, with an initial tenure of one year, which can be extended to the maximal duration of the project, year on basis, subject to annual assessment.
Educational qualifications : PhD in any field of Plant Molecular Biology/Life sciences/Bioinformatics.
Requirements : Experience in molecular cloning, protein cloning, expression, and purification in prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems. Experience in plant tissue culture and genome editing, Co-IP, Gateway cloning, ChIP, Gel-shift, and super-shift assays will be desirable. The RA is expected to independently carry out the designated work and should be capable of troubleshooting, amenable to work in a large group, and should be highly dedicated and sincere. will also be considered favorably. Demonstrable extensive computational work, including Next Gen Sequencing analysis, RNAseq and ChIP Seq analysis as well as command on computational skills including C/C’”/Python will be considered favorably.

Project Associate I (1)
Applications are invited for the position of Project Associate I in the Plant Transcription Regulation Group, ICGEB, New Delhi. The position is temporary, with an initial tenure of one year, which can be extended to the maximal duration of the project, year on basis, subject to annual assessment.
Educational qualifications : Master's degree (MSc) in any field of Plant Molecular Biology/ Life sciences/Bioinformatics, or M.Tech degree in a related field.
