Project title : Bioprospecting of Marine microbial diversity for various products underthe Marine Bioresource and Biotechnology Network Programme.
About the project : This project aims at developing select marine cyanobacterial host strains as expression systems for the mass production of industrially relevant products
Essential Qualifications & Experience :
- PhD in Life Sciences, Biotechnology and allied fields
- Minimum 2 years of post-doctoral experience from a reputed national or international institute/ university.
- Proven track record of research work published in peer-reviewed journals
- Demonstrated experience of handling various cyanobacterial systems and their engineering
- Experience in Bioinformatics tools for data analysis and implementation.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Good academic record and credentials
Job Profile :
- Cyanobacterial genetic engineering for production of important platform chemicals and biofuels.
- Optimization of process parameters for large scale production of important chemicals from
cyanobacteria.
- Assistance report writing and communication with the funding agency
Consolidated salary : Rs. 56000/- p.m. + HRA
General information
Age limit : 35 Years
The position is temporary for a period of 1 year and tenable only for the duration of the project.
The appointment is for time bound project and the candidate is required to work mainly for the successful completion of the project. The selection committee may offer lower or higher designation and lower or higher salary depending upon the experience and performance of the candidate in the interview. Candidates called for interview will be required to attend at his / her own expenses.
