With a coastline of about 3,500 miles, inland sources in Rajasthan and Little Rann of Kutch, and the rock salt mines in Mandi, India have possibilities of attaining a high position in salt production among the salt producing countries of the world. As is known, apart from being an indispensable item of food, salt is an important raw material for the manufacture of several heavy chemicals e.g. soda ash, caustic soda and chlorine. Besides, salt is used in food processing industries, such as fish curing, meat packing, dairy products and fruit and vegetable canning.

Post : Junior research fellow (JRF)/Project Associate-I/II

Qualification
For JRF: M.Sc Chemistry/polymer science with NET, NET(LS), GATE qualification.
For Project Associate-I: M.Sc Chemistry/polymer science.
For Project Associate-II: M.Sc Chemistry/polymer science with two year experience in research and development in industrial and academic institutes or science and technology organizations and scientific activities and services

Fellowship :
Rs. 31000/- + HRA [for JRF and project associate-I] /
Rs. 35000/- + HRA [project associate-II]

Job description : The selected candidate will be involved in the works related design and synthesis of new ion-exchange membranes and their performance evaluations in fuel cell, redox flow battery.

Age limit : 28 years for JRF and 35 years for Project associate-I/II as on date of interview.

Duration for both positions: Till September, 2022 

General Conditions:- Interested candidates are requested to appear before the Selection Committee for personal interview (additional written test for Project associate) along with biodata, two sets of all certificates and originals as well as two passport size photos on 15th November 2019 (10:00 AM) at CSIR-CSMCRI, G. B. Marg, Bhavnagar-364002, Gujarat India.

The posts are purely temporary for duration of sponsored project only. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidates for claiming extension or absorption in CSMCRI/CSIR. No travelling or any other allowances will be paid for attending the interview.
