National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is the first national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences with a proclaimed objective of becoming a centre of excellence for advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences. The Government of India has declared NIPER as an 'Institute of National Importance'. It is an autonomous body set up under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. The Institute is conceived to provide leadership in pharmaceutical sciences and related areas not only within the country, but also to the countries in South East Asia, South Asia and Africa. NIPER is a member of Association of Indian Universities and Association of Commonwealth Universities.

Applications are invited for one position each of Laboratory Technician and Data Entry Operator under AIIMS and NIPER Collaborative project titled “New Biotherapeutic Approaches to the Treatment of Tuberculosis” funded by DoP, MC&F, New Delhi.

Laboratory Technician :
Salary Rs.15,000/- fixed.
EQ: Aggregate 55% marks in M. Sc. biochemistry, biotechnology, zoology, microbiology, life sciences, M. (Pharm.) in Biotechnology or Pharmacology.
Upper age limit: 28 yrs. (relaxation: 05 yrs. for SC/ST/PH/OBC/woman candidates). Qualification/experience can be relaxed for deserving candidates with relevant experience in the project area.

Data Entry Operator :
Salary Rs.15,000/- fixed.
Qualification and experience: Graduate with diploma/certificate in computer applications. Good knowledge of English and data entry works with 1 -2 years’ experience.
Upper age limit: 28 yrs. (relaxation: 05 yrs. for SC/ST/PH/OBC/woman candidates). Qualification/experience can be relaxed for deserving candidates with relevant experience.

Qualification//experience can be relaxed for deserving candidates with relevant experience. The above positions are purely temporary with no right to permanency, initially for one year and extendable up to 2 years based on performance and mutual consent, and are co-terminus with the duration of the project.

Walk-in interview will be held on Friday, October 27, 2016 (14:00-16:00 hrs.) in the office of Prof. Prati Pal Singh, In-charge, Centre of Infectious Diseases, NIPER, S.A.S. Nagar.

Candidates should bring an application on plain paper, addressed to the Director, NIPER, S.A.S. Nagar, giving details of educational qualification, experience (if relevant) with name of the Institute, post held, etc. Names and contact details of at least three persons, who can be contacted for recommendation, should also be included.

Original certificates need to be presented before the interview for verification. Application should be accompanied by a demand draft of Rs. 100/- (Rs. 50/- for SC/ST/PH) in favour of “Director, NIPER”, drawn on any scheduled bank payable at Mohali/ Chandigarh along with a set of photocopy of all the certificates, marks sheets etc. Reservation of SC/ST and PH is as per Gol rules.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview. Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification of candidature for the posts
