For quite a few years since the Rio-Summit, 1992 there have been discussions at various local forum about the requirement of a capable institution to take care of the rich biodiversity of Manipur and its surrounding areas. The inclusion of the North East Region in the list of Mega-biodiversity hotspots of the world caused an ever increased fillip to the researchers, resource planners, environmental enthusiasts and the local think- tanks about stopping depletion of biodiversity in the region and finding scientific ways of sustainable uses of bioresources.
A walk-in-interview will be held on Tuesday, the 14th October, 2014 at 11.00 a.m. at the Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Imphal for selection of following suitable candidate for its extramural project on contractual basis:
Post: Senior Technical Assistant, STA (02)
Title of the project and name of funding Agency: Creation of freshwater Cyanobacterial and Microalgal Repository at IBSD, Imphal, Manipur.
Name of Funding agency: DBT, Govt. of India
Duration of the project: Till 31-03-2015 or completion of the project.
Fellowship: Rs. 10000 p.m.
Qualification: Graduate in Biological Science Stream
1. The above position is purely temporary and co- terminus with the respective project. The selected candidate shall not claim for appointment either to IBSD, Imphal, RCIBSD, Sikkim or DBT, New Delhi.
2. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
3. The details of the advertisement are available in the Institute’s website (ibsd.gov.in) or as hard copy from the receptionist of the Institute.
4. The upper age limit shall be 32 years (relaxable for reserved categories as per GOI norms).
5. Eligible candidates may report and to be appeared for walk-in interview with all original and attested copies of certificate between 10.00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. on 14th October, 2014.
6. Interim queries will not be attended.
