Research Fellowships under DBT funded project at National Brain Research Centre

BRIC-NATIONAL BRAIN RESEARCH CENTRE (NBRC) invites application for the position of Research Associate I under DBT funded project “Role of Pax6(+) cortical progenitors in the etiology of Autism Spectrum Disorder”.

No. of positions : One

Essential Qualification : The applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Science or Engineering, or an M.D./M.S. degree in any area of medicine, with research interests in Development and Neuroscience, and a good academic record with at least one first- author publication arising from their PhD work.

Desirable experience : Candidates with experience in cell culture, primary culture, biochemistry, molecular biology including CRISPR- or shRNA-mediated gene manipulation will be preferred. In addition to this desirable criteria, experience in animal handling, confocal microscopy, lentivirus or Adeno Associated Virus - mediated genetic manipulation will be valuable addition to the acquired expertise.

Fellowship : ₹ 58,000/- + HRA per month. No other allowances are applicable.
Age limit : Maximum 40 years (as on the last date of receipt of application).

Project Investigator : Dr. Dhananjay Huilgol, BRIC-NBRC
Tenure : The tenure will be for one year and renewable for two more years up on successful review of performance. The post is co-terminus with the project.
Accommodation : Accommodation may be provided as per rules of NBRC, subject to availability.
