Project Title : Rational design of broad-spectrum antifungal peptides and peptide-based enzyme mimics for neutralization of mycotoxins

Key Details :
• Duration : 24 months
• Place of work : BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus
• Fellowship (inclusive of HRA @30%) : Rs. 48,100/month
• Opportunity to register for a PhD at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus (subject to eligibility)

Eligibility :
• M.E./M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering / Biotechnology or M.Pharm. or M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Life Sciences / Medicinal Chemistry, or allied disciplines with a minimum of 60% marks (or equivalent CGPA).
• Candidate valid GATE/NET/any other National examination will be preferred
• Interest in pursuing PhD in the relevant area

Desired skills :
• In Vitro Microbiology & Enzymology (antifungal assays, cytotoxicity assays, hemolysis assays, functional assays for mycotoxin degradation e.g. quantification via HPLC/ELISA)
• Experience in handling animal models for safety, pharmacokinetics, and efficacy studies will be preferred
