Pharmacists opportunity under the Public Health Department

Under the Public Health Department, the appointment of Contractual Drug Manufacturer (PHARMACIST) on a purely temporary basis for the first six months (179 days) at Hindu Hruday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray Apla Dawakhana has been approved by the Hon'ble Municipal Commissioner vide No. MGC/F/5910/dt.25.03.2025.

Post : Contract Drug Manufacturer (Pharmacist)

Salary : Rs.20,000
Age Limit : As on 20.11.2025 Should not be 43 years

Qualification :
1) The candidate must have a Diploma in Pharmacy from the State Government Board of Technical Education or a Diploma from a recognized University or a Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized University. (Preference will be given to those with a degree in Pharmacy from a recognized University.)
2) The candidate should be registered with the Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council and the registration should have been renewed.
3) Computer Knowledge The candidate should be a holder of 'CCC' or 'O Level' or 'A Level' or 'B Level' or 'C Level' level certificate of DOEACC Society or a holder of MSCIT or GECT certificate of Maharashtra State Board of Higher and Technical Education.
4) The candidate should have passed the Secondary School Certificate Examination or equivalent with 50 marks or 100 marks (Higher/Lower Level) subjects.
5) If the candidates have 6 months or more experience, additional marks will be given commensurate with the experience.

Job Description
1) Working under the guidance of the Medical Officer of the hospital and the higher officials of BMC.
2) Indenting the medicines issued by the hospital to the Senior Medical Officer of the ward.
3) Maintaining optimum supply of medicines and updating the stock of medicines in the software, ensuring that medicines are indented on time.
4) Arranging the medicine shop and managing medicines as per the applicable FIFO and FEFO principles.
5) Disposing of expired medicines as per the guidelines.
6) Giving medicines and counselling (how to take and side effects of medicines) to the patients.
7) Maintaining data in the tab software.
8) Maintain reports, record books and submit reports to the Medical Officer and higher authorities.
9) Perform any other duties assigned by the Medical Officer of the HBT Hospital.

Also, as required Contract Pharmacist (PHARMACIST) will be informed on the e-mail submitted. No information will be communicated over the phone. It will be the sole responsibility of the candidate to verify the e-mail and check the e-mail from time to time.

Contractual Pharmacist (PHARMACIST) will be given appointment orders based on the vacant posts and as Hindu Hruday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray's Hospital and Polyclinic and Diagnostic Center are operationalized. This appointment will initially be for 179 days and if the work of the candidates is satisfactory, they will be reappointed on contractual basis.

Also, candidates who have previously worked in Hindu Hruday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray's Hospital and Polyclinic and Diagnostic Center will be given more marks. For this, while verifying the documents, they must submit the experience certificate issued by the Medical Officer of Health (MOH) of the concerned department in the format mentioned below.
