A walk-in interview for the post of Consultant (Life Sciences) on a contractual basis, under a collaborative project entitled "Understanding Prakriti and its inheritance pattern in health and predominant disease predisposition from a regional perspective- A genetic and epigenetic study" between RAR1, Thiruvananthapuram. and the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB), Thiruvananthapuram, will be conducted by the Institute.

Eligibility Criteria :
Essential :
1. The candidate must have a Post Graduate Degree with at least 1st class in Life Science or Computational Biology/B.Tech/ Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine from a recognized University.
2. The candidate should have completed at least four years of post-MSc or 3 years of post-B.Tech
OR
3. Doctoral Degree in Science / Engineering/ Technology from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable :
1. Experience in both wet lab and dry lab with experience in Bioinformatics, Genome informatics, NGS data handling, and Statistical analysis.
2. Experience in programming in Python or R
3. Candidate should have at least one PubMed indexed research article in the genomics field.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 65 years as on 26th November, 2025. Age relaxation will be given as per the Government of India norms.
Remuneration : Rs. 50,000/- (consolidated) per month for the lst year. Rs 50,000/- + 3% increment in the second year.
General Conditions :
1. The engagement is initially for a period of six months which may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of the competent authority subject to performance and their engagement will be co-terminus with the project.
2. The engagement of above posts will be purely on contractual basis and no right to claim for continuation or regular appointment.
3. Age will be reckoned as on 26.11.2025. Age relaxation will be admissible as per the Government of India rule.
4. The format for submission of Bio- data may be downloaded from the Council’s Website ccras.nic.in. Bio¬data without supporting documents will not be considered.
5. The selection committee has right to select or reject the application of the candidate.
6. No TA/DA will be admissible for interview.
7. The Research Officer In charge, RARI, Thiruvananthapuram reserves the rights to postpone or cancel the interview, without assigning any reason thereof.
