National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar (erstwhile Gujarat Forensic Sciences University) was established in 2009 and granted the status of National University and Institution of National Importance by the act of Parliament in October 2020. Presently, the University has fourteen Campuses and Academy across the country at Gandhinagar, Delhi, Goa, Dharwad, Bhopal, Pune, Manipur, Tripura, Guwahati, Bhubaneshwar, Nagpur, Chennai, Jaipur, Raipur and one international campus at Jinja, Uganda.
National Forensic Sciences University invites eligible and exceptionally motivated candidates to attend a Walk-in Interview for the following Scientific positions on a contractual basis at its Gandhinagar Campus. NFSU promotes interdisciplinary culture and vouches for scientific staff who can collaborate with other scientific staff of the University in interdisciplinary areas of Forensic Science and allied branches. Junior Scientific Officer (Forensic Narcotics / NDPS)
Eligibility Criteria
Pay :- Consolidated Monthly Salary of Rs.60,200/-
Essential Qualifications / Criteria :
i. Not be more than 35 years of age,
ii. Educational Qualification & Experience: Master’s degree in Forensic Science (with Forensic Chemistry as a specialization) / Forensic Science# / Chemistry / Biochemistry/Forensic Pharmacy / Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance from recognized University/Institute [# Candidate having Master degree in Forensic Science must have studied minimum 4 subjects from any of the above mentioned disciplines at Master’s level]
Experience: *Three (03) years of experience in Analysis / Research in the relevant field in any Central / State / UT Government organization or recognized laboratory recognized laboratory / research institute or equivalent Industrial experience. [* Candidates having Ph.D. degree in full time mode in relevant discipline will be considered as having maximum 3 Years research experience for this position]
Desirable :
i. Ph.D. in relevant discipline.
ii. Experience in the field of Analytical Forensic Chemistry or Narcotics Drugs testing
iii. Knowledge of Quality process as per ISO/IEC17025:2017 & ISO 9001:2015
Junior Scientific Officer (Multimedia Forensics) :
Designation of Post :- Junior Scientific Officer (Multimedia Forensics)
Pay:- Consolidated Monthly Salary of Rs.60,200/-
Essential Qualifications / Criteria :

Educational Qualification & Experience : Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) OR Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) OR Information Technology OR Electronics OR Electrical and Electronics (EEE); OR Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security)

Master degree in Computer Science OR Information Technology OR Electronics OR Physics; OR Forensic Science OR Forensic Science (specialization Cyber Forensics) OR Digital Forensics OR Digital forensics and Information Security OR Cyber Security OR~Multimedia Forensics OR Information and Communication Technology OR Artificial Intelligence OR Data Science OR Cyber Security Management from recognized University or Institute.
Master’s Degree in Forensic Science with at least three subjects in the discipline of physical Sciences during Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or Institute.
Experience : **Three (03) years of experience in Analysis / Research in the relevant field in any Central / State / UT Government organization or recognized laboratory recognized laboratory / research institute or equivalent Industrial experience. Pay : Consolidated Monthly Salary of Rs.47,400/-
Essential Qualifications / Criteria :
i. Not be more than 30 years of age,
ii. Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) OR Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) OR Information Technology OR Electronics OR Electrical and Electronics (EEE); OR Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security)

Additional Information
1. The University reserves the right to increase or decrease the positions and fill or not to fill positions in any of the above/ and or any other specialization(s).
2. All qualifications must be from UGC recognized University/ Deemed University or RCI/BCI/PCI/AICTE approved autonomous institution (wherever applicable). Courses offered by autonomous institutions should be equivalent to the relevant course approved/recognized by Association of Indian University (AIU).
Other Terms and conditions :
a) The posts listed above are temporary positions and are on contractual basis for 11 Months or till the recruitment for the position is filled against the regular vacancy or whichever is earlier.
b) Candidates must bring original certificates and documents (educational qualification, experience certificates, age proof, etc.) for verification at the time of the interview.
c) One set of self-attested photocopies of all supporting documents (degree, marksheets, experience certificates, etc.) should be submitted to the Recruitment Cell at the time of the interview.
d) If found ineligible, the university is liable to terminate the contract at any time.
