Bihar Animal Sciences University (BASU) has been established with its headquarters at Patna through an act of Bihar State (BASU Act No. 15 of 2016, notified in the Bihar Gazette on 29 August 2016). The University became operational from 13 June 2017 with the appointment of it’s first Vice Chancellor. The new University has been carved out of the Bihar Agricultural University as two of its constituent colleges at Patna viz. Bihar Veterinary College and Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Dairy Technology have been transferred to the BASU, whereas a new College of Fisheries has been established in 2018.
Applications are invited from the interested and motivated candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the CSIR, New Delhi funded time bound research project for a temporary period, purely on contractual basis as per the following details:
Project Title : MOLECULAR EPIDEMIOLOGY OF CRYPTOSPORIDIUM SPECIES IN LIVESTOCK AND ANIMAL HANDLERS OF BIHAR
Department : Department of Veterinary Medicine, Bihar Veterinary College, Bihar Animal Sciences University, Patna - 800014 (Bihar)
Project Tenure : 36 months
Description : The candidate has to perform research and development related task for the above mentioned project.
Essential Qualification : B.Sc. 4 years programme / B.Pharm / MBBS / lntegrated BS-MS / MSc / BE / B.Tech or equivalent degree, with 55% marks and passing of NET / GATE test
Desirable qualification : Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques, handling and collection of biological samples, experience in molecular biology (DNA extraction, PCR etc.), field visit.
Age Limit : Upper Age Limit 28 YRS
Age relaxation : The upper age limit is relax-able up-to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to scheduled castes/tribes/OBC, women and physically handicapped candidates.
Fellowship : Junior Research Fellow (JRF)- Rs.37,000/-p.m. + HRA
Terms and conditions
1. The post is purely contractual and co-terminus with the project or until further orders whichever is earlier.
2. There is no provision for regularization either at CSIR or BASU. Candidate have to bring their original certificate/mark sheet at the time of walk-in-interview.
3. Bihar Animal Sciences University, Patna reserves the right to cancel/postponed the interview and terminate the contract before the completion of the project without assigning any region thereof. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
