The Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (IITR), established in 1965, a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) engaged in the Research & Development in the areas of Environmental Toxicology, Predictive Toxicology, Health Risk Assessment, Preventive Toxicology, Inhalation Toxicology, Analytical Toxicology, and also National S&T Missions. IITR has two campuses; the main campus is located at the centre of Lucknow City and the other campus at a distance of approx. 20 km from the main campus.

Principal Project Associate
Essential Qualification : Master’s Degree in Biotechnology / Microbiology from a recognized University or Equivalent AND Six(6) years of experience. OR PhD in Biotechnology / Microbiology with 3 years of experience in Research and Development in Industry, Academic institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services.
Desirable Qualification : Research experience in the area of molecular biology and experience in handling of cloning vectors etc.
Job Description : To conduct the in-vitro studies using cloning vectors
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : Rs.49,000/+ (20%) HRA Per month.
Upper Age Limit : 40 years Relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC/ST, physically handicapped and female candidates and 3 years in case of OBC(Non- Creamy Layer) candidates.

Project Technical Support – II
Essential Qualification : Graduation with biological sciences / biotechnology / Medical Laboratory Techniques from a recognized university or equivalent, With 2 Years research/industrial experience in working with cell culture/molecular biology.
Desirable Qualification : The preference will be given to the candidates having the working experience with primary cultures/immortalized cell lines of human and animal origin will be given the preference.
Job Description : The candidate is supposed to assist in the cell culture work and other molecular biology experiments.
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : Rs.20,000/-+ (20%) HRA Per month.

Project Research Scientist – II
Essential Qualification : Master’s degree in Biotechnology from a recognized university or equivalent AND 3 Years of experience in Research and Development in Industry, Academic Institutions, or Science and Technology Organizations, and Scientific activities and services OR PhD in Biological Science / Biotechnology.
Desirable Qualification : Research experience in experimentation using immortalized cells and primary cultures of human and animal origin, stem cells, induced pluripotent stem cells, 3D spheroid/organoid cultures etc. Handling experience and data interpretation of transfection over- expression/knockdown/kn ockout technologies, genome and proteome analysis, cellular kinetics etc. The candidate should have hands-on experience in in-vivo laboratory animal handling, perfusion techniques and neurobehavioral experiments.
Job Description : The candidate is supposed to work with in- vitro studies using 2D and 3D stem cell/Ipsc- derived models to investigate the mechanistic insights of xenobiotics- mediated toxicity, and also perform in vivo experiments.

Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : 1st and 2nd year Rs. 37,000/-+ HRA per month; 3rd year Rs. 42,000/- +HRA Per Month.

Eligible candidates will have to report for interview at 9.00 AM. Candidates will not be allowed to attend the interview after 10.00 am. The candidates have to appear for the interview before the selection committee on the above date and time at CSIR-Indian Toxicological Research Institute, Toxicology Bhawan, 31 Mahatma Gandhi Marg Lucknow 226001. Eligible candidates will appear along with the duly filled application form (which can be downloaded from the Institute's website www.iitrindia.org) along with attested copies of mark sheets/certificates and latest passport size photograph. The candidate will be called for the interview only if he/she is in possession of the original certificates.

General Conditions
1. Suitable Candidates may be empanelled for future requirement if any, under different projects.
2. The date for determining age/qualification and experience shall be the date of interview.
3. The period of experience in a discipline/area of work, wherever prescribed, shall be counted after the date of acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualifications prescribed for that Post.
4. The above positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the aforementioned projects.
5. The engagement in these projects will not confer any right implicit or explicit on the candidate for consideration for regularization against any CSIR/IITR post(s).
6. The number of positions against the various projects can vary at the time of selection depending on the requirement of the institute.
7. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.

9. Candidates must bring their original educational/experience certificates with them. Otherwise, they will not be allowed in the interview.
10. For a position in a project, required experience shall be counted only after the candidate has acquired the minimum prescribed qualification.
