For ICMR Funded Project entitled “Implementation Research to scale up evidence-based management of Heart Failure by non-specialists in primary care in India” (P-5508)
Qualification & Experience (Essential) : 1. Three year graduate degree in life science.
2. Minimum three years experience in Biobanking, DNA Isolation from human whole blood and PCR.
OR
1. MSc. Biotechnology with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized university.
2. Minimum one year experience in Biobanking, DNA Isolation from human whole blood and PCR.
Qualification & Experience (Desirable) : Experience in molecular biology techniques.
Job description : The Biobank Technician will be responsible for the collection, processing, documentation, storage, and quality management of biological specimens (blood, serum, DNA, RNA, and other sample types) from clinical areas (OPD, wards, ICU, etc.), in accordance with institutional and biobank standard operating procedures (SOPs). He/she will also be responsible for liquid nitrogen procuring and refilling.
Monthly emoluments : Rs. 20,000/- + 20% HRA
Age limit as on 01.05.2026 : 30 Years*
Number of vacancies : Existing - I (OBC-1) (In absence of eligible OBC candidate, eligible UR candidate will be considered). Nature / Tenure of appointment : Temporary (Purely on contract), initially for a period till 30.09.2026 (likely to be extended till 30.09.2030) or till completion of the project, whichever is earlier

*Age relaxation upto 5 years shall be granted to candidates having experience of working in Government Research Organisation as per ICMR Order No. 16/29/2023/Admin/E.Office No.157401 dated 18.10.2024 point (h).
Non Creamy Layer Certificate (for OBC) should be valid and in the prescribed format applicable for employment in Central Government Institutions, issued by a Revenue Officer not below the rank of a Tahsildar. Candidate without valid document will not be considered under reserved post.
