Applications are invited from interested and motivated candidates for the post of Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical) in a time-bound research project sponsored by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). The position will be purely on contractual basis as per the following details.

Project Title : Leveraging Diet and Modifiable Risk Factors to combat Metabolic Syndrome (MetS): Multi- omics Mechanistic approach to Validate Calorie Restriction Mimetics (CRMs) for Pharmacological and Nutritional interventions
Principal Investigator : Prof. P R Deepa, Department of Dept. of Biological Sciences
Project Tenure : 20 Months (subject to annual review of progress)
Project / Job Description : The Project Research Scientist will employ cell culture models systems to test metabolic syndrome, screen databases of ligands using in silico tools, and biochemically validate drug- and nutraceutical molecules for their effects on gene/metabolic (de)regulations, and cell signaling pathways.
Qualification
1. First Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees, with three years post qualification Experience or PhD.
2. For Engineering – First Class Graduate degree of Four Years with three years post qualification experience.
Upper Age Limit : 40 Years as per ICMR Guidelines
Fellowship / Stipend : Rs. 67,000 PM + 10% HRA
