NIPER Fellowship for Pharma candidates under the GSBTM funded project

Applications are invited for engagement of JRF under the GSBTM funded project entitled “Investigating the therapeutic synergism of stem cell therapy and GHRH receptor analogue in post- stroke neuronal regeneration and management of vasogenic edema” in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, NIPER-Ahmedabad. The position is available initially for a period of one year and may be extended based on the candidate’s satisfactory performance and continuation of the project.

Principle Investigator : Prof. Shailendra Saraf Dr. Pallab Bhattacharya, Professor and Head, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, NIPER-Ahmedabad.
Engagement Tenure : The position is for 1 year and may be extended on satisfactory performance and will be co-terminus with the project.

Salary : Rs. 31,000/- + HRA for the NET/GATE or national-level exam qualified candidates & Rs. 23,213/- (Fixed) for Non-NET/GATE/ICAR-NET etc. as per the GSBTM, DST, GoG guidelines.

Essential Qualification : M.S.(Pharm.)/ M. Pharm./ M. Tech (Pharm.) (Pharmacology and Toxicology/Regulatory Toxicology/ Biotechnology; M.E./ M.Tech./ M.Sc. (Pharmacology/ Biotechnology/Biochemistry/ Toxicology/ Physiology/ Life Sciences/Biomedical Science/ M.D. (Pharmacology), M.V.Sc. (Pharmacology/ Pathology/Biotechnology). or P.G. degree with 60% marks for GN/OBC (55% for SC/ST/PH) from UGC recognized university / Institute, autonomous bodies NIPERs/IITs/IISERs

Desired Work Experience : GATE/CSIR NET/UGC NET/GPAT qualified. The candidate should have firsthand experience in small animal handling and small animal surgery, a fair knowledge of molecular mechanism elucidation, statistical data analysis, etc. Knowledge on neuroscience and stroke will be preferred.

Other Terms & Conditions : The position is purely temporary in nature and co-terminus with the project.
