Job for Pharma and Life Sciences candidates under core research initiative of BRIC-IBSD

The Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD) although registered in April, 2001, under the Manipur Societies Registration Act, 1989, the regular activity of the Institute could be started only with the appointment of its first Director on 18th January, 2003 to achieve the following mission, goal and objectives.

Applications are invited from eligible and motivated candidates for the position of Project Scientist-I (Pharmacology/Natural Product Chemistry/Biotechnology) and Project Associate (Pharmacology/Natural Product Chemistry/Biotechnology) under core research initiative of BRIC-IBSD. Selected candidate should be flexible to station at BRIC-Regional Centre, Sikkim and BRIC-IBSD, Imphal for Ethnopharmacological Research and Drug Discovery program.

Project Scientist-I (01 no.)
Upper age limit : 35
Monthly Remuneration : Rs. 56,000/- + HRA per month (as per notified from time to time)
Duration : Initially for 01 year and extended further after assessment.
Essential Qualifications : (i) PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmacology/Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ Pharmacognosy)/ PhD in Life Sciences (Zoology/ Biotechnology)/ PhD in Chemistry (Organic/Natural Product Chemistry)
(ii) Work experience in R&D/Industries/Academic Institutions/S&T activities and services.
Desirable : • Experience in handling Animal cell culture, ELISA, RT-PCR etc. molecular Techniques
• Experience in handling HPLC, LCMS, HPTLC.
• Strong publication record

Project Associate – I (02 nos.)
Upper age limit : 35
Monthly Remuneration : Rs. 31,000/- + HRA Per month (as per notified from time to time)
Duration : Initially for 01 year and extended further after assessment.
Essential Qualifications : (i) M. Pharma (Pharmacology/Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ Pharmacognosy)/ MSc./MS in Life Sciences (Zoology/ Biotechnology)/ MSc/MS in Chemistry (Organic/Natural Product Chemistry)
(ii) Work experience in R&D/Industries/Academic Institutions/S&T activities and services.
Desirable : • Experience in handling Animal cell culture, ELISA, RT-PCR etc. molecular Techniques
• Experience in handling HPLC, LCMS, HPTLC.
• Strong publication record

1. The above position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. Selected candidate shall not claim regular appointments either in BRIC-IBSD, Imphal and its branches or DBT, New Delhi.
2. Selected staff might be relocated at BRIC-Regional Centre, Sikkim and/or BRIC-IBSD, Imphal and/or any other BRIC-IBSD Centre depending on research requirements.
3. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview.
4. The upper age limit is relaxable for reserved categories as per GoI norms.
