The following posts are to be filled purely on a temporary basis for the ICMR project in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, JIPMER.

Project Technical Support-II (1 Post)
Qualification : Essential • Bachelor degree in clinical research Or Social sciences or Biotechnology
Desirable
• Experience in working projects / programs

• Fluency to communicate in local language
• Ability to work with MS-Word, Excel
Age limit in years : 30
Consolidated remuneration : Rs. 20,000/- per month + HRA 20%

Project Nurse-III (1 Post)
Qualification : Essential
1. MSC Nursing
or
2. B.Sc,(Nursing) with 3 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Desirable
1. Work experience in clinical research projects after nursing course
2. Willing to work in shifts
3. Fluency to communicate in Tamil
4. Research publication (at least one)
Age limit in years : 35
Consolidated remuneration : Rs 28000/-Per month+ HRA 20%

Nature of work/responsibilities and expectations :
Project Technical Support-II
• Provide technical and administrative support for the implementation of the project activities.
• Assist in data collection, data entry, data verification, and maintenance of project records.
• Support preparation of reports, presentations, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
• Ensure timely submission of project-related documents and compliance with institutional guidelines.
• Organize workshops, training sessions, meetings, and other project-related events.
• Provide logistical and operational support for project activities.
• Perform any other project-related duties assigned by the Principal Investigator
• Any other works assigned by the PI

Project Nurse III
• Provide comprehensive midwifery-led care to antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal mothers enrolled in the project.
• Assist and support normal vaginal deliveries and promote respectful maternity care practices.
• Provide counselling and health education regarding pregnancy, labor, breastfeeding, newborn care, family planning, and postnatal care.
• Identify high-risk conditions, complications, and danger signs, and facilitate timely referral to obstetricians or higher canters when required.
• Maintain labor room records, case sheets, consent forms, and project-related documentation accurately.
• Assist in data collection, follow-up of participants, and maintenance of research databases for the project.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Principal Investigator or project coordinator related to the project.
• Any other works assigned by the PI

EVALUATION CRITERIA : After the evaluation of the application form, the recruitment process will be as follows: Topics for evaluation: Project Nurse III: Maternal health and knowledge on midwifery care, pregnancy risk stratification, counselling and health education Project Technical Support: Maternal health, knowledge on midwifery care, Clinical research design and analysis, Ethical principles, Computer knowledge

TERMS AND CONDITIONS :
1. This position is purely on contract basis for an externally sponsored project, and the person engaged will have no claim to any regular post in JIPMER at any time. Further, the position is only for the duration of the project and based purely on external funding support for the project.
2. The engagement may be extended or curtailed at discretion of the Project Investigator.
3. Qualification and experience should be in a relevant discipline/field and in a reputed institution/organization. The experience should have been gained after acquiring the essential qualification.
4. Qualification, experience, other terms, and conditions may be relaxed/ altered at the discretion of the Principal Investigator.
5. Valid email ID and mobile number are compulsory.
6. Consolidated salary of the post may vary from time to time. No other allowance/facilities other than consolidated salary shall be extended.
7. Submission of wrong or false information at any stage during the process of selection or canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification or even termination if detected after the person has been engaged.
8. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test and interview. Decision of the Project Investigator will be final. If the number of applications is very large, more stringent criteria than those specified above may be used to determine eligibility.
9. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
10. Incomplete applications and applications that are not in the prescribed format and those not fulfilling the essential criteria above arc likely to be summarily rejected. Candidates may attach their CVs with the application form. However, applications with CV alone and without the prescribed form and certificates will be rejected.

Interviews for the post may be conducted in person or via videoconferencing, at the discretion of the Principal Investigator. In the latter case, it will be the individual candidate’s responsibility to ensure access to a suitable device (computer/ laptop/ mobile) with audio and camera facilities, and an adequate internet connection. Date and time of interview will be notified one week in advance.
