Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is one of the Twenty Three IITs created to be Centres of Excellence for training, research and development in science, engineering and technology in India.  Established as College of Engineering in 1961, the Institute was later declared as an Institution of National Importance under the Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 1963 and was renamed as “Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. It was then accorded the status of a Deemed University with powers to decide its own academic policy, to conduct its own examinations, and to award its own degrees.

Applications from Indian nationals are invited for Project Appointment under the following project Appointment shall be^on contractual basis with consolidated pay, renewable yearly or upto the duration of the project, whichever is earlier

Consolidated fellowship / Pay-slab : Rs 37,000/- p.m. plus HRA @27%
Essential Qualifications : MSc (or equivalent) in Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology with a minimum of 60% Marks or CGPA of 7 0 and above at a scale of 10 NET/GATE or any National-Level JRF eligibility test qualified 
Desirable : Experience in electronic structure calculations, molecular modelling, and or molecular dynamics simulations, and programming skills (C++ and Python), The candidate should also have a strong foundation in mathematics
*The requirement of NET/GATE examination for the selection to the post of JRF may be relaxed for the candidates who have graduated from Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) with CGPA of more than 8.000 (80% aggregate marks).

5% relaxation of marks may be granted to the SC/ST Candidates. In case of selection of a retired/superannuated government employee, his/her salary will be fixed as per prevailing IRD norms.
