IBSD looking for Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences candidates

The Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD) although registered in April, 2001, under the Manipur Societies Registration Act, 1989, the regular activity of the Institute could be started only with the appointment of its first Director on 18th January, 2003

A walk-in-interview will be held at the BRIC-Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development under the project entitled “Sustainable bioconversion of Phumdi biomass into fermentable sugars from Loktak Lake of Manipur” for external funded project” at BRIC-IBSD, Imphal for selection of candidates under externally funded project.

Research Associate - (01) one
Age limit : 40 years
Fellowship : Rs.58,000+ 8%HRA
Duration : 2 years
Essential Qualifications : Ph.D in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Industrial microbiology from a recognized University.
Desirable : Having three years research experiences in the relevant field.

Project Associate-I (01) one
Age limit : 35 years
Fellowship : Rs.31,000/-+8% HRA
Duration : 2 years
Essential Qualifications : M.Sc, in Microbiology/Biotechnology/ Biochemistry, Life Sciences.
Desirable : Having work experience in relevant field.

1. The above positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. Selected candidates shall not claim for regular appointment either in IBSD, Imphal and its branches or DBT, New Delhi.
2. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview.
3. The upper age limit relaxable for reserved categories as per GoI norms.
4. Eligible candidates may appear for walk-in interview with all original and self-attested copies of certificate at 09:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on 01st June, 2026.
