Fellowships for any branch of biological sciences at GBU

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF- 04) to work on the Department of Biotechnology (GOI) funded research projects
(1) Bioengineering of enzymes for producing linear and branch lacto-N-triose for baby infant formula: highly promising human milk oligosaccharides.
(2) Establishment of a novel enzymatic process for augmenting bioactive oligosaccharide production from cereal based arabinoxylan and β-glucan, targeting Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium surface receptors to enhance their rate of repopulation addressing obesity.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (No. of Positions : 02)
PI : Dr. Ravindra Pal Singh
Project title : Bioengineering of enzymes for producing linear and branch lacto-N-triose for baby infant formula : highly promising human milk oligosaccharides
Minimum Qualifications : M. Sc. in any branch of biological sciences from any reputed university with NET / GATE
qualified. Candidate with DBT- category – I and II are eligible as per funding agency rules.
Desirable Qualifications : Candidates having prior work experience in PCR, enzymatic cloning and characterization, and carbohydrate analysis will be preferred.
Age Limit : Up to 28 years on closing date of advertisement
Fellowship : Emolument 37000/- + 27 % HRA
Duration : Initial appointment for 1 year which will be extendable till the duration of this project based on satisfactory progress of the candidate.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (No. of Positions: 02)

Desirable Qualifications : Candidate 1- having prior work experience in PCR, enzymatic cloning and characterization, and carbohydrate analysis will be preferred. Candidate 2- having prior work experience in NGS data analysis, AI/ML in biology, molecular dynamics and docking. Selected candidate will work in collaboration with IIT Bombay, Mumbai.
