National Medicinal Plants Board In order to promote medicinal plants sector, the Government of India has set up National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB) on 24th November 2000. Currently the board is working as a section of Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha & Homoeopathy), Government of India. The primary mandate of NMPB is to develop an appropriate mechanism for coordination between various ministries/ departments/ organizations in India and implements support policies/programs for overall (conservation, cultivation, trade and export) growth of medicinal plants sector both at the Central /State and International level.
Walk in interview for engagement of One (01) Senior Programme Manager (MPBC & Integrated Component), Two (02) Project Consultant (Technical - MPBC), One (01) Project Consultant (JFMCs) & One (01) Project Consultant (Herbal Garden) in NMPB, Ministry of Ayush on contract basis on the monthly remuneration basis.
Senior Programme Manager (MPBC & Integrated Component) - 01
Educational Qualification / Experience Essential*: PG Degree in Botany / Dravyaguna / Agronomy / Agro-economics / Pharmacognosy / Pharma (Ayurveda) / Medicinal Plants / Agribusiness / Agri-engineering / Horticulture.
Desirable Qualification : Having MBA or Ph.D in relevant field.
Experience**: Minimum 15 Years of Experience in the concerned field. Knowledge of Computers (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, typing etc.) to handle the work.
Age : 35-60 years
Nature of appointment : On a purely contract basis.
Monthly remuneration (Rs.) : Rs. 1,00,000/-
Project Consultant (Technical- MPBC) - 02 posts
Educational Qualification / Experience Essential*: PG Degree in Botany / Dravyaguna / Agronomy / Agro-economics / Pharmacognosy / Pharma (Ayurveda) / Medicinal Plants / Agribusiness / Agri-engineering / Horticulture.
Desirable Qualification : Having MBA or Ph.D in relevant field.
Experience**: 5 years’ post-qualification experience in the concerned field.
Knowledge of Computers (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, typing etc.) to handle the work.
Age : 25-60 years
Nature of appointment : On a purely contract basis.
Monthly remuneration (Rs.) : Rs. 50,000/- per consultant
Project Consultant (Joint Forest Management Committee- JFMC) - 01 post
Essential*: M.Sc. in Botany / Forestry/ Agriculture/ Taxonomy/ Pharmacognosy, Dravyaguna.
Desirable: Ph.D in Concerned discipline, Experience in survey/Agro Forestry /Collection and Cultivation/ Conservation of Medicinal Plants.
Experience**: 02 years’ experience in Taxonomi/ Pharmacognosy.
Knowledge of Computers (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, typing etc.) to handle the work.
Age : not more 45 years
Nature of appointment : On a purely contract basis.
Monthly remuneration (Rs.) : Rs. 50,000/-
Project Consultant (Herbal Garden) - 01 post
Educational Qualification / Experience 1. Essential : M.Sc. in Horticulture/ Botany / Forestry/ Agriculture/ Taxonomy/ Medicinal Plants;
Desirable : Ph.D in Concerned discipline, Experience in Forestry/ Stress Tolerance/ Cultivation/ Conservation of Medicinal Plants.
Experience : 02 years' experience in Horticulture/ Medicinal Plants. Knowledge of Computers (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, typing etc.) to handle the work.
Age : not more 45 years
Nature of appointment : On a purely contract basis.
Monthly remuneration (Rs.) : Rs. 50,000/-
*Degree should be of regular course and should be recognized by the competent body i.e. AICTE, UGC, NCISM etc.
**Full - time experience with Central Government, State Government, Attached & Subordinate Offices, Autonomous Bodies and PSUs of Government of India should be considered.
1. Candidates should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of computer applications such as MS Word, MS Excel and Power Point, etc. is essential.
2. Candidates should be well conversant with Central Secretariat functions like drafting, noting, budget, accounts, office procedure, etc.
3. Nature of appointment: On a purely contract basis, initially for a period up to 31st March,2027, which may be extended.
4. The engagement will be purely on contract basis and will not confer any right for regular appointment in the Ministry/ Organisation.
5. NMPB reserves the right to accept or reject any application or candidature for the post without assigning any reason.
6. On the above date and time, the applicant shall physically visit for the interview with duly filled proforma, along with one set of photocopy of the certificates, qualifications and experience claimed as well as original certificates/documents, identity proof etc. for verification. No TA/DA for this purpose will be admissible.
