Organization and Project Brief 
Telangana Life Sciences Foundation, Government of Telangana establishing the first of its kind world class Antimicrobial Resistance Centre of Excellence (AMR CoE) in Hyderabad, Telangana State in partnership With Department of Pharmaceuticals, Government of India. The AMR CoE will build the capabilities of industry and government to adopt sustainable antibiotic manufacturing monitoring and technology solutions through the following core activities: 
1. Academic training and awareness raising on AMR topics 
2. Build capacity for monitoring technologies and testing solutions 
3. Treatment technologies to increase sustainability and profitability

Job Description
• Leadership Role : This position requires strong scientific, operational, and strategic leadership to drive AMRCoE initiatives across testing operations, research programs, stakeholder engagement, business development, and collaborative partnerships. 
• Monitoring & Testing Solutions: Lead and strengthen core testing operations, ensuring robust AMR monitoring through standardized protocols and efficient laboratory systems. 
• Training & Capacity Building: Design and deliver AMR-focused training programs and awareness initiatives for industry, academia, and government stakeholders. 
• Build projects: Identify, develop, and apply for research projects for the AMRCoE laboratory to drive innovation and funding opportunities. 
• Business development: Drive business development for the AMRCoE laboratory, focusing on client acquisition, partnerships, and revenue generation. 
• Sustainable Treatment Technologies: Contribute to evaluation and implementation of technologies for reducing antimicrobial load and enhancing environmental sustainability. 
• Policy Research & Advisory: Undertake AMR-related policy research and support development of guidelines, reports, and regulatory frameworks. 
• Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate collaboration with industry, research institutions, and government agencies to strengthen the AMR ecosystem.

Candidate Profile
Qualification 
• PhD/Post-doctoral in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Genetics, or allied life sciences, with a strong publication record and demonstrated relevance to antimicrobial resistance (AMR) research and advanced laboratory facility operations. Minimum Experience 
• PhD with min. 1-3 years or Post Doc with relevance to AMR research and laboratory facility operations 
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) 
• Hands-on experience in operating advanced laboratory equipment (NGS, Realtime-PCR, Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing, HPLC, GC-MS/MS, etc.) for identification and characterization of microorganisms from industry and hospital samples. 
• Experience in method development, validation, and proven troubleshooting record 
• Experience in handling state and central government projects 
• Excellent knowledge of GMP practice and GLP practice 
• Strong leadership, management, research, and communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively to deliver key results.

1–3 years of hands-on experience in NGS workflows, molecular biology techniques, or microbiology, including antimicrobial susceptibility testing experiments.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) 
• Hands-on experience with NGS platforms, library preparation, and sequencing workflows or Microbiology tests, including antimicrobial susceptibility testing
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in molecular biology techniques
• Basic understanding of bioinformatics tools and genomic data analysis
• Ability to deliver accurate, reliable, and reproducible results
• Proven capability in troubleshooting and optimizing laboratory processes
• Adherence to quality standards, SOPs, and biosafety protocols
• Efficient handling of laboratory operations in a high-performance environment
• Good analytical, documentation, and communication skills

Job Description
• Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, client acquisition, and strategic partnerships for AMRCoE services with Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing, NGS, RT-PCR, HPLC, GC-MS/MS, LCMS-MS, NMR, etc. 
• Client Engagement: Liaise with industry, hospitals, academia, and government agencies to promote AMRCoE capabilities and services. 
• Market Outreach: Conduct market research, outreach programs, and promotional activities to enhance visibility and utilization of AMRCoE facilities. 
• Revenue Generation: Support pricing, proposal submissions, and conversion of leads into revenue-generating projects. 
• Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with technical teams, management, and external stakeholders to ensure successful execution of projects. 
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain records of leads, proposals, partnerships, and revenue performance metrics.

Candidate Profile
Qualification
• MBA (Marketing)/ MSc in Microbiology, Genetics, Genomics, Biotechnology or related Life sciences from reputed
Institute/University
Minimum Experience
• 1–3 years of experience in business development and sales with a strong focus on laboratory testing services (NGS,
Real time-PCR, Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing, HPLC, GC-MS/MS, LCMS-MS, NMR, etc), including promotion,
client acquisition, and partnerships within the life sciences/biotech sectors.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
• Strong business development acumen with proven client management and negotiation capabilities
• Sound understanding of the life sciences/biotechnology sector and laboratory service ecosystems
• Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and convert leads into revenue-generating engagements
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to consistently achieve business targets
• Experience in managing government and industry projects is desirable
