Seeking an experienced Analytical Scientist with expertise in analytical and bioanalytical chemistry to support drug discovery and preclinical development programs. The ideal candidate will develop, validate, and execute analytical and biochemical assays, providing critical data to guide medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, and DMPK. This role requires strong technical skills, cross-functional collaboration, interpersonal skills, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities :
Analytical & Bioanalytical Method Development
• Develop HPLC and Prep-HPLC methods and troubleshoot analytical data for purity confirmation using various chromatographic techniques.
• Develop, validate, and execute analytical and bioanalytical methods for small molecules, peptides, and complex macromolecules.
• Develop and conduct purification, isolation, and structural confirmation of active compounds using chromatographic (TLC, HPLC, flash) and spectroscopic techniques (LC–MS, NMR, FTIR).
• Develop, validate, and execute analytical and bioanalytical methods for small molecules, peptides and metabolites in plasma, tissue, and other biological matrices using HPLC, LC–MS/MS, GC, and UV–Vis spectroscopy.
• Support stability studies, impurity profiling, and degradation studies in preclinical and development workflows.
• Develop, validate, and execute chiral compound purification.
• Maintain PM and calibration service records of the instrument
Biochemical & SAR-Based Discovery
• Design and execute biochemical assays (HTRF, TR-FRET, AlphaLISA) to evaluate compound potency, selectivity, and mechanism of action.
• Support lead optimization programs by providing analytical and assay data for medicinal chemistry teams.
Leadership & Team Management
• Lead the Analytical Science department with responsibility for mentoring, training, and fostering high-performance management, setting a strong example through hands-on leadership
• Provide strategic guidance on analytical and bioanalytical approaches to support drug discovery and preclinical programs.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with Chemistry, Pharmacology, DMPK, and Discovery teams to ensure integrated project outcomes.
• Represent the department in project team meetings, providing updates on analytical progress, challenges, and recommendations.
• Excellent interpersonal relations and time management
Qualifications & Experience :
• Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Biology, Life Sciences, or equivalent with 8–10 years of relevant industrial experience.
• Proven track record of supporting lead optimization and preclinical drug development and leading analytical teams.
• Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities in analytical science.
• Essential to have a deep understanding of column chemistries, all chemical and biochemical analytical HPLC, Prep HPLC and Mass spectroscopy.
• Strong expertise in HPLC, LC–MS/MS, chiral purification, and method validation, according to regulatory guidelines.
• Hands-on experience with high-throughput biochemical assays (HTRF, TR-FRET, AlphaLISA) and SAR interpretation is preferred.
• Sound knowledge of enzyme kinetics and compound–target interactions.
• Experience with sample extraction and cleanup using techniques such as SPE, LLE, and protein precipitation to support PK and TK studies is preferred.
• Experience in bioanalytical PK studies and quantitative analysis of small molecules and familiarity with analytical and modeling software.
• Excellent communication, data interpretation, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and mentor junior scientists.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities in analytical and bioanalytical workflows.
