About the Project : Our Aflatoxin Detection & Standard Development project has been officially accepted and is being executed at the prestigious BSC BioNEST Bio-Incubator (BBB) at the Regional Centre of Biotechnology, Faridabad, a Government of India platform. This multi-faceted project aims to develop comprehensive solutions for aflatoxin management.
Role Summary : The Project Manager will be a pivotal leader, responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, monitoring, and successful completion of the Aflatoxin Detection & Standard Development project. This role requires a blend of strong scientific understanding, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to effectively coordinate with internal teams, external partners and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Strategy:
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, resource allocation, and budget.
• Define project deliverables, milestones, and success criteria.
• Contribute to strategic discussions regarding project direction and potential expansion.
Execution & Oversight:
• Drive the project forward, ensuring adherence to the planned schedule and budget.
• Oversee daily operations, scientific experiments, and data analysis related to all project objectives.
• Ensure compliance with scientific protocols, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Team Leadership & Coordination :
• Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team of research associates.
• Foster a collaborative and productive working environment.
• Conduct regular team meetings to track progress, address challenges, and ensure alignment.
Resource & Budget Management :
• Manage project resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and consumables.
• Monitor project expenditure against the approved budget and identify potential cost efficiencies.
Risk Management :
• Identify potential project risks (scientific, operational, financial, regulatory) and develop mitigation strategies.
• Proactively address issues and implement corrective actions.
Quality & Documentation :
• Ensure all research activities and deliverables adhere to high scientific quality standards and best practices.
• Maintain meticulous project documentation, including experimental records, data, and reports.
Qualifications :
• Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, or a closely related field.
Required Skills & Competencies :
• Project Management Expertise : Ability to manage complex scientific projects from conception to completion.
• Scientific Acumen : Strong theoretical and practical knowledge in at least two of the following: PCR/molecular diagnostics, Secondary metabolite isolation and purification, antibody-based assays (ELISA, LFA), mycology, or mycotoxin analysis.
• Leadership & Team Building : Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a scientific team.
• Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting, presentations, and stakeholder management.
• Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate scientific and operational challenges.
• Organizational Skills : Highly organized with keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Adaptability : Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced research and development environment.
• Quality Orientation : Commitment to maintaining high standards of data integrity and scientific rigor.
