Opportunity for PG in Life Sciences under Ministry of Science & Technology at NIAB

NIAB is an autonomous and premier institute of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India. The Institute aims to develop and harness novel and emerging biotechnological tools and applications, and take up research in cutting-edge areas for improving animal health and productivity as well as contribute to human health and welfare.

Post : Project Associate - I (1 Position)

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the following position at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad.

Project Title : “Elucidating the role of Cdc5/Prp19-associated complex in pre-mRNA splicing of highly intron-rich zoonotic parasite Toxoplasma gondii”.
PI : Dr. Abhijit Deshmukh

Tenable upto : One Year.

Essential Qualification : Master degree in Life Sciences (Molecular Biology / Biotechnology / Microbiology, etc.) from a recognised university or equivalent.
Experience : Candidates with prior experience in molecular parasitology and molecular biology techniques involving gene cloning and protein purification will be preferred.

Fellowship amount : Rs. 31000/- + HRA(if applicable) candidates NET or GATE or undergone a selection process through national level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions and 25,000/- + HRA (if applicable) for others who do not have NET or GATE as per the DST guidelines.

Age : 35 years.
