The Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (IITR), established in 1965, a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) engaged in the Research & Development in the areas of Environmental Toxicology, Predictive Toxicology, Health Risk Assessment, Preventive Toxicology, Inhalation Toxicology, Analytical Toxicology, and also National S&T Missions. IITR has two campuses; the main campus is located at the centre of Lucknow City and the other campus at a distance of approx. 20 km from the main campus. 

Eligible and interested candidates may attend the interview for purely temporary engagement as Project Staff under CSIR/externally funded Projects tenable at CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology research, Lucknow. Project wise vacancy positions, date of Interview and qualification details are us under:-

Post 1 to 11- Date: 27.05.2025 & Time: 9.00 A.M.

Project Scientist-II (01)    
Qualification & Experience : Essential Qualification: Doctorate degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry from a recognized university or equivalent And Five(5) years experience in research and development in industrial and academic institutions, science and technology organization and scientific activities and services. 
Desirable Qualification: Research experience in the area of biochemical characterization of text items, cellular and molecular toxicity/ safety studies, operation and handling of LC-MS/MS, GCMs, etc. Good scientific writing skills. 
Job description : To conduct the chemical characterization of text chemicals and experiments using cellular and molecular techniques.    
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : Rs.67,000/ + 20% HRA Per month   
Upper Age Limit : 40 years Relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC/ST, physically handicapped and female candidates and 3 years in case of OBC(Non -Creamy Layer) candidates.

Desirable Qualification : Research experience in the area of 2D/3D cell culture, cellular and molecular toxicity/safety studies, operation and handling of LC-MS/MS, GCMs, etc. 
Job description : To conduct the in-vitro experiments using human iPSCs, and 3D organoid systems.
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : Rs. 49,000/+ (20%) HRA

Desirable Qualification : The preference will be given to personnel with Research/working experience using human stem cells/ iPSCs, in vitro toxicology, etc.

Research Associate-I GAP-442 (01)
Qualification & Experience : Essential Qualification: PhD Degree in Biotechnology/Toxicolo gy/Biological Sciences / Life Sciences / Neurosciences from a recognized University or equivalent or having 3 years research experience with minimum of one research paper in SCI Journal. Desirable Qualification: The preference will be given to the personnel having the research experience in the area of cellular and molecular toxicity, rodent handling, mammalian cell culture, handling and analysis experience of western blotting, Real-Time PCR, LC MS/MS, in vitro transfection studies, Microscopy etc."
Job description : To carry out the experimental brain stem cell/ iPSCs culture and animal studies. 
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) :  Rs.47,000 +HRA (18%) per month.

Project Associate-I SSP-507 (01) 
Qualification & Experience : Essential Qualification : M.Sc. in Environmental Science. 
Desirable Qualification : Minimum one Year of experience in stack monitoring, as well as sampling and analysis of ambient air and water samples. 
Job description : Sampling and analysis of Stack emission, Ambient Air and water samples from NTPC Shaktinagar including the analysis for physicochemical parameters and heavy metals and air pollutants such as SOx and NOx. The candidate also should have experience in handling instruments and report compilation. 
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : 25,000/- + HRA per month. 
Upper Age Limit : 35 years Relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC/ST, physically handicap ped and female candidate s and 3 years in case of OBC(Non -Creamy Layer) candidates 
Project No. and title of the Project : SSP-507 “Third Party testing of environmen tal parameters at NTPC Singrauli STPS, Shaktinagar.”

Eligible candidates will have to report for interview at 9.00 AM. Candidates will not be allowed to attend the interview after 10.00 am. The candidates have to appear for the interview before the selection committee on the above date and time at CSIR-Indian Toxicological Research Institute, Toxicology Bhawan, 31 Mahatma Gandhi Marg Lucknow 226001. Eligible candidates will appear along with the duly filled application form (which can be downloaded from the Institute's website  iitrindia.org) along with attested copies of mark sheets/certificates and latest passport size photograph. The candidate will be called for the interview only if he/she is in possession of the original certificates.

General Conditions
1. Age relaxation will be admissible to SC/ST/OBC/PWD & Women candidates as per Govt. of India/CSIR/Funding Agency Guidelines.
2. Suitable Candidates may be empanelled for future requirement if any, under different projects.
3. The date for determining age/qualification and experience shall be the date of interview.
4. The above positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the aforementioned projects.
5. The engagement in these projects will not confer any right implicit or explicit on the candidate for consideration for regularization against any CSIR/IITR post(s).
6. The number of positions against the various projects can vary at the time of selection depending on the requirement of the institute.
7. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.
8. No correspondence will be entertained through any medium regarding the advertisement.
9. Candidates must bring their original educational/experience certificates with them. Otherwise, they will not be allowed in the interview.
