National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources, New Delhi and Bioversity International-India, New Delhi in collaboration with the Asia-Pacific Association for Agricultural Research Insti-tutes Bangkok, are organizing the Eighth International Training Course on In Vitro and Cryopreservation Approaches for Conservation of Plant Genetic Resources’ from Nov. 5-19, 2019.

Applications are invited to attend "Interview (in-person/online through video conferencing) " for the post mentioned in the advertisement to work in the DBT funded network project “Mainstreaming sesame germplasm for productivity enhancement and sustainability through genomics assisted core development and trait discovery” at ICAR- NBPGR, New Delhi as mentioned below.

Research Associate-II (01)
Emoluments / month : Rs. 61,000 + 27% HRA.
Essential qualification : Ph.D degree in Agriculture / any branch of life sciences or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc., / M.Pharm / ME / M. Tech with at least one research paper in science citation indexed (SCI) journal.
Desirable Qualification : I. Research experience in molecular biology / biotechnology / plant physiology / plant biochemistry / bioinformatics / relevant discipline especially in sesame or other oilseed crops with the mentioned specialization from recognized Agricultural University as evident through research publications.
II. NET / GATE qualification.
III. with ≥ 60% marks (or equivalent GPA) in post-graduation from a recognized University or equivalent.
Upper age limit : 40 years (5 years for SC/ ST/ female candidates, upto 10 years for differently abled candidates and 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates as per Govt. of India norms.)

Senior Research Fellow (01)
Emoluments / month : Rs. 42,000 + 27% HRA.
Essential qualification : I. Post graduate degree in Basic Science or Graduate / Post graduate degree in professional course selected through a process described through any one of the following:
a) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Test (NET) – CSIR-UGC-NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) / GATE.
b) The selection process through National level examinations conducted by central government departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc. NET / GATE qualified post-graduate in agriculture or in life sciences with ≥ 60% marks (or equivalent GPA) from a recognized University or equivalent.
II. Two years of research experience.
Desirable Qualification : I. Post-graduate research experience in molecular biology / biotechnology / plant physiology / plant biochemistry / bioinformatics / relevant discipline especially in sesame or other oilseed crops with the mentioned specialization from recognized Agricultural University as evident through research publications.

Essential qualification : Master’s degree in Natural or Agricultural sciences / MVSc or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized university or equivalent
Desirable Qualification : I. life sciences with ≥ 60% marks (or equivalent GPA) from a recognized University or equivalent Research experience in molecular biology / biotechnology / plant physiology / plant biochemistry / bioinformatics / relevant discipline with the mentioned specialization from recognized Agricultural University as evident through research publications

General Terms and Conditions for the advertisement
• Candidates are requested to ensure their eligibility like age, qualification etc. before appearing for the interview, and age relaxation is applicable as per the GoI norms.
• Candidates having essential qualification will only be considered for screening.
• No TA/DA or official accommodation will be provided for those appearing in the interview.
• The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project tenure. The selected candidate has no right to claim for regularization or absorption whatsoever in ICAR/NBPGR
• The decision of the Director of the institute will be final and binding in all aspects.
• The Director shall also reserve the right to terminate the contract of job as mentioned above, even before the completion of the project for which no appeal thereof shall be made.
• Candidates are required to send scanned pdf copy of all the relevant certificates/ mark sheets etc in original with an application with full bio-data affixing a passport size photograph on the top. The originals will be verified at the time of joining.
• If any information of the candidate is found to be incorrect or concealing any facts, his/her candidature to the interview / selection to the post is liable to be cancelled at any stage.
• Emoluments may be paid as per satisfaction of the work by the PI and fund availability by the funding agency.
• In case of any disputes, it will be resolved in the jurisdiction of New Delhi court only.
