The St. John's Research Institute (SJRI) is a part of the St John's National Academy of Health Sciences, which is run by the CBCI Society for Medical Education. From its inception, St. John's has set before it an ideal of excellence in academic courses as well as service to society as a result of which it has truly become holistic both in its outlook and in its approach to the problems of community health. In 2000, the Academy decided that its commitment to excellence in research required the setting up of an Institute that was dedicated to the pursuit of research and capacity development in St. John's.

Junior Research Fellow / Research assistant
Brief Description about the Project : We are interested in evaluating role of exovesicles in neural development and leukemias.
Position Starting : 1st June 2025

Salary : Research fellowship scale sanctioned by grant
Language : English
Experience : Individuals with experience in model system re-search or with wet lab experience in cellular or molecular biology, or bioengineering will be preferred. Freshers with fellowships will be preferred.
Preferred Qualifications : Masters in any area under biology, bioengineering, medical biotechnology, or life sciences disciplines.
Roles Responsibilities
• Designing and executing experiments in con-sideration with available literature to evaluate molecular mechanism of therapy resistance in leukemias or neuronal patterning.
• Co-ordinating between research teams and departments as necessary for the project.
• Helping in ordering of lab consumables, lab record keeping and overall lab management
• Co-relating findings between specific disease conditions and developmental models based on lab’s interest.
• Manuscript writing and participating in academic and scientific activities.
