Openings for Life Science, Biotechnology, Biochemistry to work in project funded by DST (ASEAN) at INST

Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali, Punjab, an autonomous institution of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, has been established under the umbrella of NANO MISSION, initiated by DST to boost research and development in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in India. INST started its activities on 3rd January 2013, the date on which its first Director was appointed.

Post : Research Associate-I (RA-I) (01 Post)

Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for engagement of Research Associate-I (RA-I) in the research project funded by ‘DST (ASEAN), Government of India at Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.

Title of the Research Project : Unlocking the potential of DT-WO3-X nanoparticles towards NIR guided combined chemo and photo-nanotheranostics for Alzheimer’s Disease.

Principal Investigator : Dr. Jiban Jyoti Panda (Scientist – E)

Qualifications : Essential: The applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree in Life Science, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Bio-medical engineering, Nanoscience & Nanotechnology, Biosensing, Bioinformatics, and other related areas.

Desirable Experience : Experience in Murial animal surgery and handling, Neurobiology, Nanotherapeutics, Mammalian cell culture, Molecular biology techniques, Bioinformatics.

Age limit : Must not be over 35 years as of 03.06.2025. Which is relaxable for specific reserved categories as per the rules of the Government of India.

Fellowship : Rs. 58,000/- + HRA @ 8%.

Mode of Interview : Hybrid mode (online/Offline)

Duration : Initially one year and may be extended based on performance of the candidate and availability of funds.

General Terms and Conditions :
• The position is purely temporary and on contractual basis and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of two years/till the completion of the project whichever is earlier. The position is co-terminus with the project.
