Established on October 1, 1933 as University Department of Chemical Technology (popularly called UDCT) of the University of Bombay (now Mumbai), with the noble intention of advancing India’s knowledge reserves in chemical science and technology, the Institute has grown to become a premier (deemed) university devoted to education, training, research and industrial collaboration in chemical engineering, chemical technology, applied chemistry, pharmacy, biotechnology and bio-processing. The then UDCT grew in stature over the years and was granted partial autonomy by the University of Mumbai in 1985, which was taken to the next echelon under the concept of autonomy propagated by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Post : Post doctoral Fellow - One post
Applications are invited for the post of the Post doctoral Fellow (1 post) on the project titled “Macrophage Targeted Delivery System of Rifampicin for Effective Treatment of Brucellosis in Livestock” sponsored by Rajiv Gandhi Science and Technology Commission (RGSTC) under the guidance of Dr. S. D. Ambavade- PI, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology.
Qualifications : Ph.D in Pharmaceutics / Pharmacology / Nanotechnology / Biotechnology (with experience in nano formulations).
Experience : Experience in development and characterization of nano drug delivery systems, handling cell line studies and small animals desirable.
Project Tenure : Initial appointment will be for one year and extended based on performance. The appointment co-terminates with the project.
Fellowship : Rs.59305/= per month inclusive of HRA
