Career for Pharmacist at AAU, Salary upto Rs. 60,500 month

The seed of the Assam Agricultural University was sown by establishing the the Assam Agricultural College in 1948 in Jorhat, the cultural capital of Assam; and the Assam Veterinary College in the same year in Nagaon in middle Assam. The institution came to the present shape in 1969 with establishment of the Assam Agricultural University on April 1, 1969 by an act called The Assam Agricultural University Act, 1968 with its headquarters at Jorhat. Since then, being the sole agricultural university of the state, and the first such institution in the entire north-eastern region, Assam Agricultural University has been serving the interests of various stakeholders including the farmers, agripreneurs and the agricultural industry.

Essential Qualification
a) The minimum educational qualification of the candidate shall be HSLC or its equivalent examination pass.
b) Diploma in Pharmacy from a State/Central Govt, recognized institute.
c) Preference shall be given to persons having experience of serving in Govt, recognized hospitals.

General Instructions
1. The minimum age of the candidates as shall be 18 years and maximum age limit shall be 40 years as on 01- 01-2025.
2. Age relaxation for reserved categories will be as per the norms of Govt, of Assam.
3. The upper age limit is relaxable as per existing norms of AAU and Govt, of Assam for permanent in-service candidates.
4. Candidates who are working in Govt, services shall have to submit an NOC from their respective Department/ Organization.
5. The candidates who are permanent residents of Assam should only apply for all categories of posts.
6. The percentage of disability for PWD candidates shall be as per Govt, of Assam norms.

7. The candidates have to deposit a Non-refundable Application Fees as follows :
a. Rs. 1000/- for Unreserved, OBC/MOBC candidates.
b. Rs. 500/- for SC, ST(P), ST(H) and PWD candidates.
c. The fees shall have to be deposited by way of online payment through Payment Gateways provided in the portal. If the fee could not be paid within the last due date because of any technical issue, candidate can pay the application fee on or before 4:00 PM of 14.05.2025.
8. Incomplete applications shall be summarily rejected.
9. The selection and appointment shall be made as per AAU Rule.

Disqualification for appointment
a. No person shall be eligible for appointment to the service
i. Unless he/she is a permanent resident of Assam.
ii. Unless he/she possesses good conduct and antecedents as certified by the Head of the institution last attended/ previous employer (if any).
iii. If he/she is insane or if has ever been convicted by the Court of Law for criminal offense.
b. Canvassing directly or indirectly shall be treated as disqualification

Mode of Selection :
For the posts the eligible candidates shall have to appear in a written examination and followed by requisite practical skill tests/Viva-voce (as applicable), the details of which will be notified in due course of time.
