NIAB is an autonomous and premier institute of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India. The Institute aims to develop and harness novel and emerging biotechnological tools and applications, and take up research in cutting-edge areas for improving animal health and productivity as well as contribute to human health and welfare.

Post : Project Research Scientist -II (Non-Medical) (1 Position)

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the following position at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad.

Project Title : Development of indigenous recombinant adenovirus vector-based oral rabies vaccine intended for free-roaming dogs.
PI : Dr. Nagendra R. Hedge.
Tenable upto : One year, likely to be extended based on performance and co-terminus with the duration of the project.

Eligibility : 1. First-class post-graduate degree, including integrated PG degrees, with three years' experience OR PhD.
OR
2. Second-class post-graduate degree, including integrated PG degrees, with PhD and three years’ experience. All qualification shall be from a recognized Board/University. All the experience gained shall preferably be from a government organization and shall be counted after the date of completion of the minimum essential qualification.

Experience : Molecular and cell biology techniques, cell culture, vaccine development, project management.

Fellowship amount : Rs. 67000/- PM + HRA (If applicable) as per ICMR guidelines.

Age : 40 years
