Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) is an institution of national importance and statutory body established by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India with regional and global partnerships synergizing with the programmes of UNESCO as a Category II Centre. The primary focus of RCB is to provide world class education, training and conduct innovative research at the interface of multiple disciplines to create high quality human resource in disciplinary and interdisciplinary areas of biotechnology in a globally competitive research milieu.

Title of Project : Genetic dissection of rancidity and goitrogenic c-glycosyl flavone biosynthesis genes to enhance the shelf-life and nutritional quality of pearl millet flour.
No. of Position : One
Age Limit : Below 35 years
Duration : Initially for one year, and can be extended on an annual basis.
Essential Qualifications : MSc / MTech in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Biochemistry/ Bioinformatics / Genomics / Agriculture / Pharmacy or any other related subject, and National level JRF eligibility test, such as NET, GATE, etc., qualified.
Desirable Qualifications : Experience in plant transformation, molecular biology, biochemistry, protein isolation, purification Confocal microscopy, gene editing techniques. A candidate who has 1-2 years of research experience working in a relevant area with expertise will be preferred. Candidate should be motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking and a team player with good interpersonal skills.

Fellowship : Rs. 42,000/- + 27% HRA per month.
