The origins of the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) are rooted in the Indian Cancer Research Centre (ICRC), which was established in 1952 in Parel, Mumbai, under the purview of the Ministry of Health, Government of India. In 1966, ICRC was renamed the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) and amalgamated with the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), creating the first comprehensive cancer centre in India - the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), an autonomous grant-in-aid institution of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India.
Post : Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)
To work on ICMR-funded project titled - “Understanding the mechanisms related to the incompetence of immune checkpoint blockade immunotherapies in oral cancer and alternatives for Indian patients.”

Essential Educational Qualification : PhD in Cancer Biology or Immunology from any reputed University or Institute. Candidates who have submitted their PhD thesis and are waiting for the degree are eligible.
Experience : Mandatory- The candidates should mandatory have extensive experience through their PhD or other trainings in working with transplantable or inducible mouse models of cancer, and be well-versed in multi-colour flow cytometry. The candidates should be well-versed with regular laboratory techniques, which include but are not limited to western blotting, Immunohistochemistry, qPCR, etc.
Desirable : The candidates are expected to know operating R-studio or similar programs and analyzing RNA seq. data.
*M.Sc. degree having a duration of one-year course will not be considered.
Selected candidates will have to join at the earliest
Consolidated Salary : Rs. 72,800/- p.m. (Rs. 56,000+30% HRA) p.m.
Age Limit : 35 Years.
Duration : Six months and extendable.
The work progress of candidates will be monitored, and an extension may be given after six months.
