For Project Associate-I (i) Rs. 31,000 + HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC-NET including lectureship (Assistant Pro- fessorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level ex-aminations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions (ii) Rs. 25,000 +HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above

(i) Rs. 35,000 + HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC-NET including lectureship (Assistant Pro- fessorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level ex- aminations conducted by Central Government De- partments and their Agen- cies and Institutions (ii) Rs. 28,000 +HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above
Essential Qualification :
For Project Associate-I M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Virology / Bioinformatics / any related to Computational Biology from a recognized University.
For Project Associate-II M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry / Microbiology / Virology / Bioinformatics / any related to Computational Biology from a recognized with two years of research experience in Universities / National Research Institutions/ Industry.
Desirable Qualification :
1. Experience in clinical/ human sample handling in BSL2/ BSL3 facility is a must, viral RNA isolation, qRT- PCR, genomic library preparation.
2. NGS sequencing. Experience in Linux/ R/ Python. NET / GATE qualified candidates will be preferred.
Tenure of the project upto : 06.11.2023
The number of positions as advertised may vary depending upto the suitability of candidates and access needs of the candidates in the project. General instructions

3. The tenure of Project Staff shall be co- terminus with the project. The total tenure of project Staff in CSIR should not exceed 5 years in any case. The total tenure of 5 years shall be calculated as per periods spent on one Project and/ or different Projects taken together in CSIR-IHBT, Palampur and/ or any other Lab./ Institute of CSIR as Project Staff.
4. The performance of the Project Staff would be reviewed after every six-months period and any one not found up to the mark, may be terminated.
5. In case of selection, the information provided by the candidate in his/her proforma attached shall be verified from the original documents. In case any information provided found false or wrong the offer of engagement shall straightway liable to be cancelled.
6. Incomplete applications, late received applications, applications received through any other mode & applications for multiple posts in a single application form would not be accepted and summarily rejected.
